Serbia: Immigration Changes in Employment Law & ICT
Considering the amendments that have taken place in the Law of foreigners and Law of employment of foreigners recently in Serbia and which we have already written about, in this text, we would like to refer in particular to the improvements that apply on the work permits for the special type of employment in Serbia, such as Assignment and Intra-company transfer work permits.
New EU Blue Card
The European Parliament is introducing a new EU Blue Card Directive. The innovations will affect highly qualified workers and are intended to increase their mobility in the EU countries. The conditions of admission and rights for Blue Card holders and their family members will be simplified. Let us take a closer look at some of the provisions of the Directive.

Kazakhstan: simplified procedure for obtaining permit for permanent stay based on profession
We would like to inform you that the list of in-demand professions that will allow a foreign national to apply for a Permit for permanent stay (PPS) in a simplified manner was approved by the Order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 49 dated February 20, 2023.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan mutually increase allowed registration-free term of stay
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have increased the allowed periods of stay without registration for each other's citizens from 5 to 30 calendar days. The corresponding amendments were made to the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the conditions of mutual travel of citizens" dated July 7, 2000.
