Simplified Entry and Stay Rules.

Armenia and Kazakhstan have mutually simplified the rules of entry and stay for their citizens. The changes were introduced by two agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia — “On Cooperation in the Field of Migration” and “On Travel and the Procedure for the Stay of Citizens”, both signed on April 25, 2025, and ratified on October 15.

 The following changes now apply to entry and residence of Armenian and Kazakh nationals in each other’s countries:

  • Entry permitted with domestic identification documents;
  • Exemption from registration with migration authorities for up to 30 days after entry;
  • Permission to stay for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
In addition to these changes, both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in migration management and the protection of citizens’ rights, including information exchange to prevent illegal migration and enhance monitoring of foreign nationals’ stay in each other’s territories.
