Uzbekistan: visa-free regime with China entered into force on June 1
The visa-free regime for short-term trips between Uzbekistan and China entered into force on June 1, 2025.
Which law introduces the changes?
Agreement on the mutual abolition of visas between Uzbekistan and China (signed in Chengdu on December 1, 2024).
What are the key changes?
Citizens of Uzbekistan and China are exempt from the need to obtain a visa for entry, exit or transit through the territories of the two countries for up to 30 days per each trip.
The total period of stay should not exceed 90 days in 180 days.
If you plan a longer stay than stipulated in the agreement, you must apply for an entry visa in advance.
Visas are also required for employment, education, or media activities that require the approval of competent authorities.
In addition, the agreement does not apply to visits to the special administrative regions of China — Hong Kong and Macau.

Citizens of Uzbekistan visiting China, and vice versa.
