Moldova: digital nomad visa
The new Moldova digital nomad visa is expected to launch at the end of September 2025. The initiative allows foreigners employed remotely by companies located abroad or those holding shares in these firms to acquire a temporary work and residency permit lasting up to two years (extendable).
Eligible candidates must provide evidence confirming their employment link with the overseas company (where applicable), demonstrate consistent income earned via remote work, possess adequate medical coverage, secure housing arrangements within Moldova, along with fulfilling additional prerequisites.
The visa program is part of Moldova’s strategy to attract global talent, strengthen its digital economy, and position itself as a destination for location-independent professionals.
