Kyrgyzstan: fines for migration violations increased

Kyrgyzstan has adopted amendments according to which the amount of fines for migration violations will depend on their duration. The amendments entered into force on May 9, 2025.

Which law introduces the changes?

The Law of the Kyrgyz Republic dated April 24, 2025, No. 80 "On Amendments to the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Offenses".

What are the key changes?

The amount of fines imposed on inviting and receiving persons for the violation of the rules for processing documents for the right of stay is now differentiated and will range from 55 to 300 calculated indicators * (RP) for legal entities and from 10 to 125 RP for citizens, depending on its duration.

The fine for inviting foreigners without a real purpose of entry has also been increased from 130 to 300 RP for legal entities and from 10 to 30 RP for citizens.

Fines for violating the rules of stay and employment for foreign citizens will now range from 55 to 100 RP. Previously, the fine was 55 RP regardless of the duration of the violation.

* 1 RP is set to KGS 100, which is equal to ~USD 1.14.

Foreigners visiting Kyrgyzstan as well as their inviting parties and hosts.
