Kazakhstan: visa-free agreement with China to take force on November 10, 2023

We inform you that the agreement on visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and China is going to take force on November 10, 2023,  as announced by the MFA of Kazakhstan (link in Russian).

What are the changes?

As we have informed you earlier, citizens of each of the two countries will be able to stay in the other country without a visa for no more than 30 days consecutively, and no more than 90 days out of 180 days in total.

The visa-free regime does not entitle citizens of the two countries to work abroad, it applies only to private, tourist and business trips (conclusion of contracts, negotiations, consulting services and other business purposes), and trips for medical treatment, international transportation or transit.

Citizens of Kazakhstan and China planning mutual trips.
