Kazakhstan: quota applications to be submitted by September 30th, 2023
We would like to remind you that a campaign to secure quotas for employment of foreign nationals in 2024 is currently in progress. The deadline for employers to submit their quota applications is 30 September 2023.Intermark comment
In case an employer does not acquire necessary quota, procurement or renewal of work permits in 2024 may be complicated or impossible.
Quota is not required for foreign nationals assigned to Kazakhstan under intra-company transfer procedure as well as those who are exempted from obtaining work permits, which includes, among others:
- nationals of EAEU countries (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan)
- permanent residents of Kazakhstan.
- heads of branch and representative offices of foreign companies
- chief executives of Kazakhstani companies with 100% of foreign shares in the statutory capital and their deputies
