Georgia Introduces Work Permits
Georgia has amended the law "On Labor Migration", providing for the need for foreign citizens to obtain work permits from March 1, 2026.
At the same time, employees registered on the labour migration portal and working as of this date will have to issue such a permit by January 1, 2027. The registration procedure and detailed requirements must be determined by the Government and the relevant ministry before the new requirements come into force. We will follow the publication of clarifications and additional information on this issue.
