Cyprus Resumes Its Digital Nomad Visa Program
In March 2025, Cyprus’s Migration Department resumed accepting applications for the Digital Nomad Visa program. This visa allows non-EU/EEA citizens to legally reside in Cyprus while working remotely for foreign companies or clients.
The number of applications for 2025 is limited by a quota. In 2023, the previous time the quota opened, it was filled by August — so applicants are encouraged to act quickly.
Key documents required:
- A passport valid for at least 15 months.
- For employees of foreign companies: an open-ended employment contract (or a fixed-term one for the duration of stay) and confirmation from the employer that remote work is allowed and not tied to activities within Cyprus.
- Proof of stable income of at least €3,500/month (after taxes). This amount increases by 20% for a spouse/partner and 15% per child.
- Original criminal record certificate from country of origin/residence.
- Certified medical tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B/C, and a chest X-ray for tuberculosis.
- Valid health insurance.
- Proof of accommodation in Cyprus.
- Declaration that the applicant and family members will not work for or provide services to clients/employers registered in Cyprus.
