Armenia: New Migration Portal Launched

The Migration and Citizenship Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has launched a new website, migration.mia.gov.am, which serves as both an information hub and a gateway to the specialized platform used for submitting work and residence permit applications.

The website is available in Armenian, English, and Russian and provides comprehensive information on migration-related processes in Armenia, relevant legislation, MIA press releases, migration statistics, as well as official contacts and job openings within the MIA.

For foreign employees and employers seeking to hire foreign nationals in Armenia, dedicated sections of the website redirect users to the previously established workpermit.am platform, which is used specifically for submitting work and residence permit applications.

At present, most of the website’s content is available primarily in Armenian; however, it is being continuously updated.

In addition, the MIA has launched a new official Telegram channel featuring immigration-related announcements and press releases. The channel is available in Armenian only: t.me/MCSArmenia.

The introduction of these new information resources forms part of a broader shift toward the digitalization of migration-related processes, accompanying upcoming legislative changes scheduled for August 2026.
