Russia: primary COVID restrictions lifted
Please be informed that the governmental Operational staff for the prevention of importing and spreading of the new coronavirus infection has decided to lift epidemiological restrictions on entry into Russia introduced by Government Decrees No. 635-r of March 16, 2020 and No. 763-r of March 27, 2020, from July 15, 2022.
In addition, the Decree of the Chief Sanitary Doctor from July 2, 2022 abolished the requirement for 14-day isolation of foreign citizens arriving in the Russian Federation for the purpose of work, as well as a number of other requirements.

What are the changes?
1. From July 15, 2022, restrictions on the entry of foreign citizens into the Russian Federation will be completely lifted.
NB! Earlier, restrictions on the entry of foreign citizens into the Russian Federation through air and sea checkpoints were lifted, but a number of restrictions on entry by land means of transport remain in effect. These restrictions on land entry will remain until July 14, 2022 inclusive.
2. Citizens of Belarus arriving by air will not need to present a negative result of a PCR test when entering the Russian Federation. A corresponding change will be made to the Decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor.
NB! For citizens of other countries, there are still requirements to provide a negative result of a PCR test, a sample for which was taken no earlier than 2 calendar days before arrival in the Russian Federation.
3. Since July 2, 2022, the requirement for 14-day isolation of foreign citizens arriving in the Russian Federation for the purpose of work is suspended.
